She began stitching at age four and has been immersed in needlepoint ever since. An award-winning stitcher, Julia has been recognized by the State Fair of Texas and the American Needlepoint Guild (ANG). She has designed and taught classes for ANG, EGA, Needlepointers, TNNA, Destination Dallas Market, and shops nationwide. Julia has also been involved in judging at the State Fair of Texas for several years and been a part of the Beaux-Arts Auction at the Dallas Museum of Art. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Julia began her career at Key Stitches, the shop she co-owned with her mother until 2009. Along with stitching and teaching, Julia stays busy writing stitch guides for designers and clients. Her books have been a huge success as well as her traveling and teaching all over the USA.
